MIAMI VICE GOES SKIING

(Casual Menswear project, April 2020) This collection is about sustainability and gender. By creating a concept with a focal point on unisex, we remove the barrier between men's clothing and women's clothing. Because why put a label on it, in fact,  when so many people wear the same type of clothing, regardless of gender? This collection comes with a suggestion on how men and women can share wardrobe.

UNISEX

DESIGN CONCEPT

The concept for menswear2 focuses on unisex, to take a stand to contribute to a positive development from a sustainable point of view. Including both the feminine and the masculine is relevant in these times where equality is a controversial topic of conversation. Which naturally leads to the collection being used by both women and men. The collection is primarily made for men, but in a way so that women can also see themselves in it.

 

DESIGN UNIVERSE

The design universe explores different contracts within the sporty and the classic, including silhouettes / proportions, details and the different materials that belong to the two contrasts. The universe is mostly about gathering the contrasts into a new expression, where one look can be typically classic and feminine, another look can be masculine and sporty, and a third look could be a mix of it all. In this way you get a new look into the collection, but at the same time you create a good balance and coherence in the collection.

TARGET GROUP

The target group for menswear2 is more of a type than it is age-specific or gender-specific. It is a type that is very comfortable in its sexuality, and which has a classic and personal style.
